If you’re on the lookout for an authentic taste of Hong Kong’s vibrant café culture, Kam Kee Cafe, nestled in the heart of Shau Kei Wan, is an unmissable destination. This Hong Kong-style café offers a delightful blend of traditional flavors and contemporary dining experience, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike.

As soon as you step inside Kam Kee Cafe, the inviting atmosphere immediately welcomes you. With its clean, simple decor and friendly staff, you’ll feel right at home. The air-conditioned interiors provide a refreshing escape from the bustling heat of the city, making it especially appealing during the summer months.

The café boasts an impressive menu, but it's their famous pineapple bun that steals the show. Despite the curious name, this bun is delightfully soft without any pineapple filling, which might not typically be your go-to, but the crunchy topping offers a beautiful texture that keeps patrons coming back for more. As one reviewer aptly put it, “Their softness and quality bread and not overly sweet beautiful crunch” is a signature experience you shouldn't pass up.

Breakfast lovers will find a satisfying array of options featuring classic dishes that define Hong Kong's breakfast scene. Try pairing the iconic pineapple bun with their refreshing iced red bean coconut drink—a combination that takes your breakfast to another delicious level.

Customer reviews highlight the café’s dedication to quality service and tasty food. Wilson Wan, affectionately known as Big Will, commented on the “great Hong Kong style breakfast selection” and swift service, while also noting the impactful details such as a warm farewell from the staff upon leaving. These little touches make dining at Kam Kee more than just a meal; it’s an experience rooted in local culture.

While some dishes, like the borscht soup, may not have been as memorable for other customers, the overall sentiment remains that Kam Kee Cafe offers something for everyone. A baked pork chop or their French toast can easily win over your palate, leaving you craving more.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Hong Kong cafes or just exploring the culinary landscape, Kam Kee Cafe in Shau Kei Wan promises a hearty meal filled with heartwarming moments. So pop in, find your new favorite dish, and enjoy the delightful blend of flavors that this cozy café has to offer!

Decent pineapple bun but $8 for it to be buttered is a bit of a joke.

Small foodie treasures can be found at SKW. I recently visited and was pleasantly surprised by the great Hong Kong style breakfast selection, fast service and attention to detail from the staff. The air-conditioning was a blessing in the summer heat, and the staff even kindly said goodbye as I exited the restaurant. This is definitely a place worth trying out for foodies seeking delicious breakfast options! If you're nearby, give it a try!

This is a local Hong Kong style Cafe. I am normally not a big fan of Chinese sweet buns. This is the only cafe I would eat their famous pineapple bun (no pineapple), their softness and quality bread and not overly sweet beautiful crunch and light topping. Their egg was good but not the best in Hong Kong. Nothing beats pineapple bun pair with Iced red bean coconut drink. My must stop place when I visit Hong Kong. The do make the best and fresh warm pineapple bun (in house bakery). Perfect for afternoon tea. Clean & friendly. They do have English menu.

It was okay. Borscht soup tasted like can tomato soup so that was not great. Baked pork chop was nice and French toast ok too.
